The liver is the body's filtration system, filtering microbes, drugs, medications, dead cells from the body as part of the immune function. It processes all hormones, chemicals, bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites.
As a digestive organ, it processes fats, proteins, and even carbohydrates, converting protein into sugar.
But how should we take care of our liver?
It is the largest detoxification organ of the body, removing chemicals from food and using sulfur to convert toxic chemicals into harmless substances for the body (sources of sulfur: eggs, broccoli, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, kale, garlic, onions).
For this reason, it is important to undergo detoxification processes at least once a year to prevent the accumulation of toxins in the body, which can negatively impact the health of our liver.
